Set in a secluded area beside the Highwood River, close to unique downtown High River, Alberta, Canada, this campground is 60 Km (35 miles) south of Calgary on Highway 2, within easy walking distance of shopping and restaurants.
Season: May 1- Sept 30. A free dumping station is located within the park. The washrooms are clean and comfortable. Hot-water showers are free to all registered campers. Horseshoe pits and bocce courts are available for use free. If you don't have horseshoes or bocce balls, you can use ours for a $10.00 refundable deposit on each set of shoes or balls. There is a children's playground in the adjacent park. If you choose, there are free picnic areas throughout the park. The Highwood River offers opportunities for swimming, tubing, kayaking and fishing. A pathway along the River connects with an extensive network of walking and biking paths.
